Let's be honest, linen closet organization is the last thing anyone is thinking of when they clean their house. 

"The doors are always closed so who cares what's behind it" mantra.

Am I right?

But at some point, you are going to wonder "Where are all the toothpaste and toothbrushes I bought?" 

Then you find yourself digging through that damn linen closet. 

Personally, spending a bunch of money on linen closet organization bins, crates or baskets is not my idea of a good time.

I'm sure many of you can relate.

As you can see above, my linen closet has a few bins in there, a couple towel organizers. (I tried okay!)

But it still is a HOT MESS!

If you have a significant other, kids or parents living in your home you know that they are also throwing more CRAP into the closet.

Let me put you on some Dollar Tree finds that helped bring a little organization into my life.

I'm sure you are thinking where do I even start?

Step 1:  TAKE EVERYTHING OUT OF THE CLOSET! 

I know it sounds insane BUT this is the best way to throw the items away that are expired or are simply not using. 

Step 2: Placement of your towels and actual linens.

As you can see, I have my bath towels on the top shelf and then my hand towels and washcloths on the next shelf.

Step 3: Placement of your cleaning supplies

This might be different for some people. I keep my cleaning supplies in my linen closet because of toddlers. Am I right?

I put all my cleaning supplies in bins because it makes it SO MUCH EASIER to take the entire bin out and then put it back when I'm done cleaning.

Step 4: Placement of your Personal Items  

If you live with a significant other or even a roommate, you both will need your area in the closet for your things. 

You want to keep those personal items on a shelf where you do not have to bend over or jump up to grab them each day. 

You want it to be easily accessible! 

If it's not, you and I both know all the items will end up on your bathroom vanity because you didn't want to put it back.

I got all my towels and washcloths from Amazon or Walmart. They are super cheap and great quality!
